Real Customer Reviews

don't know it is on my back!

I do SUP. It is very well made out of neoprene. Excellent for water sports like SUP. It holds enough water ...about 1.5 L.
Even when full I do not notice it is on my back. It does not slide when paddling. Most of the times I do not wear a T shirt and there is no chafing. You can still fit your cellphone and keys. Will buy it again. thanks

Light weight

I bought this for my grandson for his birthday. He and his dad go on long hikes so this make things so much easier now that he doesn't have to carry his water bottle! It is very light weight.

Wore this for my first spartan beast and it was so light I sometimes thought I had low water. Filled it once on the 14 mile course and could even fit my Gu packs and nuun tablets inside the pouch!

Perfect for OCR Sprints

Bought this for an OCR race after reading a number of reviews. It’s the perfect pack for hot recess. I soaked the neoprene pre-race and it helped my back stay cool during the race. While there isn’t a dedicated pocket, I was able to stuff my gloves, a small rag and some energy gems in the main compartment where the reservoir goes.

It comes with a 1.5l reservoir. I was able to fit a 2l reservoir in it but it was a wider/not longer reservoir.

Great Product

Great water pack for an active lifestyle.
I have been using it for trail running and have not had any problems with it rubbing or bouncing.
The only thing I can see it needing is a pouch to place energy chews.

Great pack for Spartan and other OCR races!

Son wanted to do a Spartan Race, but he has Type 1 diabetes and needed a pack that could carry supplies and withstand the rigors of the race. Spent several hours researching pack options and happened to see an excellent review of this pack on YouTube.

The pack is small, lightweight, and fits comfortably on the back with minimal slippage during the race. The neoprene material doesn't soak up water adding unnecessary weight. The velcro closure was tight and prevented anything falling out of the pack. The bottom drain holes worked perfectly in all water events - each hole is grommeted to protect against tearing or ripping. I couldn't find any other pack that had this absolutely essential self-draining feature. Although the pack was small, there was ample room for the 1.5L bladder, diabetic supplies, and snacks.

Will use this for all future races and have recommended it highly to other OCR racers. Very satisfied with this purchase. Item arrived quickly and was well-packaged.

The DolfinPack Lightweight does as it was advertised. Light and compact, I can see myself running with it on my back. Don't buy this product if you expect to carry big items in the pack with the water bladder filled. I fit a wallet, keys, and squeezed a 100 page 8"x 11" magazine in the pack with a little struggle. All in all, I can see myself using this item for many outdoor adventures with and without a shirt.

Perfect for marathon training

This pack is working great. I am using it for marathon training. Slim and it doesn’t bounce hardly at all. Also love the neoprene material. I have not had any chafing. I do put bodily glide where the pack potentially may rub. I have worn this on a 17 mile run

Simple, streamlined, perfect solution

If you are looking for a ligthtweight alternative to a Camelbak, this is for you. If you are a petite person (I'm 5' and 100 lbs) frustrated by gear that is too big and therefore chafes and throws you off balance, this is for you. It's easy to put on, easy to wear, and easy to clean. The bite straw is efficient and easily tucks into the elastic loops. You can put a phone in the pack with the bladder if you are in an area with low humidity (due to condensation); just seal the cap well. The only catch-22 is that the super adjustable and sturdy velcro on the straps can snag your shirt if you don't align them perfectly.

Best Hydration Pack, Hands Down! Very Pleased!!!

I just ran a Spartan race and was concerned about my Camelbak absorbing too much water and holding lots of mud while I ran. So I ordered this Dolfin Pack to use instead. Definitely the best decision I could have made. This pack is super comfortable and light. It fits securely and thanks to the neoprene, it did not chafe me in the least even when I was soaking wet. Since the straps are fitted using velcro instead of buckles, adjustments were easy and fast. Plus the pack did not shift as I drank the water.
No mud stayed inside due to the drain holes in the bottom so I had zero added weight from mud and muck.
The water storage capacity is perfect. I did not fill mine completely full so I had a bit of space to include a waterproof bag with a tracker inside for my husband to follow my progress with. There is no additional storage space otherwise. I'm a bit torn on whether I would want that or not as it could compromise how the pack fits and drains but for a longer race, I will need to have fuel like GU or NUUN tabs with me so I may need to find another way to do that.
I did have to use a bit more pressure on this bite valve to get water out but it wasn't anything that affected my thoughts on the pack.
This thing was completely coated with mud after the race but washed clean in only a couple minutes with cool water and a cleaning brush. This will now be the pack I use for every race I run. I have a beast in August and a half marathon in Sept. and I plan to use this pack for all my OCRs.
Thank you Dolfin Pack!! I was not paid to write this or given anything for a good review so this is what I truly think of the product.
Since this worked so well, I am also looking at the hydration armband for short runs. Once you find something this good, you stick with ti!

Lightweight, small, and easy to run with!

So I have only used this once, but I really loved my first experience with it! I have had others in the past and like so many elements of this one way better. I use this for longer distance runs or will use in the summer when its too hot to run without water.

I like the material, it feels very water friendly for all the sweat that I get on it ;) It was very lightweight and didn't jiggle around at all! Even the water in the bladder didn't bother me, I couldn't hear it over my tunes playing. I am slightly worried that the velcro will wear out, but I'll cross that bridge if it happens then!

The mouthpiece is very easy to bit down on and there is a on/off switch which is a really nice feature.

The position on the chest may be a little funky for women with larger breasts. While my chest is rather small, I did not have this issue, but due to the placement of the straps, I'm not sure if they would fit well under larger ones or make them uncomfortable?

But overall I like how small and lightweight this is! Perfect for just the right amount of water needed for a 2-3 hour run :)

Perfect for skiing or snowboarding

I use this pack for skiing and it fits perfect - high enough on my back that I don't even feel it on the chair lift. It feels too tight with layers of clothing underneath but I usually just leave the straps loose. I am 6'1" and 180 pounds.

Great Spartan Race water pack!

Used this for a Spartan Super and it went great! Definitely much slimmer compared to traditional water backpacks and kept out the mud that I was rolling around it. Also, there is plenty of room to store energy gels in the large compartment for during race energy. This is already cleaned and ready for the upcoming Beast!

Awesome!

On the suggestion of a friend, I ordered this for the Spartan Super. I am small (5'3", 118 lbs.) and many other hydration packs are too bulky, take on too much water (during obstacles), or chafe. This pack is awesome! Extremely low profile with soft straps. It velcros across the front just under the breasts.

Note that there is no zipper pocket for fuel, but in the large pouch which contains the bladder, I put chews, gel, and a protein bar no problem. My Spartan teammate had that in hers plus compression sleeves and gloves.

Highly recommend!

This pack is great on long runs

This pack is great on long runs. Stays in place, doesn't bounce around and keeps me hydrated. It is great because it allows me to stay ahead of my hydration, in the past I'd just deal with the side effects- which is not a good option
